"Just a quick note to let you that v5 is the best thing to happen to this particular Crime Stoppers program since my joining it in 2003. In my huge area and associated travel, the manner in which I can now stay on top of all tips 24/7/365 as needed, is an absolute blessing. The two-way capability that we have with web tips (which are increasing steadily) has allowed me to correspond with tipsters, and I am experiencing a new openness and regular updates in some of the tipsters. As you know, this is something I cannot do with telephone. As SMS catches on here, I know the result will be the same.
I literally check tips all throughout the day regardless of where I am or what day it is, and have been able to communicate about and forward time sensitive drug tips and others through police communication centers, and then Shelley follows up with the paper the next business day.
